On June 1, 2026, Avery Franken contributed to a seminar on Critical Love Studies held at Lund University’s Gender Studies Department. Avery’s insights on enduring romantic relationships were put in conversation with Veronica Flyman’s insights on singlehood from their doctoral project in order to discuss critical love studies from contrasting angles.
The seminar was followed by a Relationship-Collaging Workshop, held by Avery. This gave researchers at Lund University the opportunity to experiment with one of Avery’s research methods, and explore how collaging can serve as a research method in different social scientific projects.
